Welcome to the Mortimer Leisure Centre in Wigmore

This centre is operated on behalf of the local community by a charity and a board of local trustees.
What happens at the centre and the facilities we can provide are very much up to local users to determine. We can call on a wide range of equipment and specialists to assist in the provision of sports and leisure pursuits. Opening times are normally 6pm to 10 pm Monday to Friday. Some days are
given over to particular activities such as badminton on a Thursday which means the hall cannot be used for other activities at the same time.

Weekends—at the moment the Centre is rarely used over the weekend apart from a cricket nets session and football tournaments on a Sunday. If anyone sees an opportunity for a regular slot on a Saturday or Sunday then we would be very interested to hear from you. This may be any leisure or recreational pursuit not just sport. We can be very flexible on rates but once agreed we do need the groups concerned to make a commitment to use the facility as we have to provide and pay staff.

Charges—Our charges are the lowest in the county and represent extremely good value for money.
Commencing in the New Year our charges will be:

- Hall - £19.50 per hr

- ½ Hall - £13.00 per hr

- Badminton Courts
- Adults - £7.00 per hr
- Junior - £5.50 per hr

- Fitness room - £3.00 per hr

- Induction - £8.00 (includes 2 hrs use of gym)

- Week end – 2 hrs - £30.00 (includes use of hall and equipment)

Other weekend requirements may be discussed with Mark Tilly (Currently these charges are slightly lower)

New members are required to undergo an induction session in the gym and this costs £8 but this fee also includes two one hour sessions in the gym.
